Problem I: The Scientific Tale of Love
Question: What are some of the strengths that you have demonstrated? Elaborate with specific examples from the lesson today.
Response: I think that I have different strengths. One of which is that I am able to present my presentation with confidence and without anxiety. In the past, when I was doing class presentation, I find that I had the problem of not being able to speak in front of the class and even not sure of my own findings. What I had learnt through my first semester in RP, is that there is no definite solution to the problem statement. There are different answers and solutions that may be generated through one problem statement. In many areas of today's problem statement, there are a lot of perspective that we could come from. However, Fateen managed to chance upon an explaination of Scientific Thinking that got the group going and allow us to anchor all our explaination on one. This also allows us to have a common understanding as a group on the topic. Somehow. I was doing the part on Perpetual Motion, I was quite fustrated, as the team noticed, that the school computer doesn't seem to like me. However, when I managed to find one document that clearly stated the three different kinds of Perpetual Motion that was stipulated, I based the different experiments that have been conducted before. I think that I was able to comprehend these ideas well and is able to elaborate on it. This, is what made me not nervous. I realised that I was able to speak more clearly and slower especially after the emcee workshop that I attended last Friday, conducted by Zaini. I realised that I became more and more intentional in trying to speak clearly and make myself clear. This helps in my presentation as this would allow me to convey the correct message to my audience, classmates.
